Elon Musk-owned X, formerly Twitter, has been working for a long period of time for a standalone messaging application named XChat for the platform, and they released the beta for the web version earlier last December. Now the standalone application has a release date for the iPhones.

Coming April 17th they are planning to release the application on the App Store, currently the App Store has a pre-order page for the application. X plans to have this application to compete with other messaging applications such as Signal, Telegram, WhatsApp. But the security researchers have some concerns about the application whether it will have the same level of encryption as other messaging applications.

And the features of this application include end to end encryption, disappearing messages, voice messages, group chats and block screenshots as well. Once the application rollout happens we will be able to know more about the security features and other things.
