Turn Your Headphones Into a Real-Time Translator

Listen to this article (AI Voice)

Traveling to another country or state inside the country is always a beautiful thing, as you get to witness the beauty of the place and it lets us understand the culture and everything from the people of the homeland you are travelling to — whether it was a business trip or a vacation. But communicating with local people in their own language is still a hard thing, though we can manage with sign language; they can also understand that — and that is the beauty of travelling.

But now it has become very easy to have a conversation with local people or with people who are speaking another language. You may all know Google Translate, which we all use to translate from one language to another. Recently they have given an update to turn our headphones into a live translator with the help of the Google Gemini AI model — so just plug in your headphones or Bluetooth device, go to the Google Translate application, and just click Conversation (Live Translate) and choose the language you want to translate. Live, so you can understand the local language in your own mother tongue or the language you want to understand. Currently it supports more than 70 languages and will later expand to many more.

It is easy to understand; the only thing to consider is the lag — that is the problem — but it can also be fixed in upcoming versions of the application. If you want to test it, head over to the Google Play Store on Android and the App Store on Apple devices — you can download and test it.

Explore more places and more people.
