Samsung Is Discontinuing Its Messaging App

Samsung has put out a recent announcement that they were discontinuing their default messaging services by the end of July 2026 and they were moving from Samsung Messages to Google Messages as their default messaging application. Recently as well in their new Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphone they were preventing users from downloading Samsung Messages from their official Galaxy Store.

And Samsung claimed they were moving to Google Messages for better features such as powerful security including spam message detection, RCS Messaging with RCS enabled across Android and iOS, you and your friends can share high-quality photos and videos, enhance your group chats, see real-time typing indicators, and more. And also multi device connectivity and more Google AI features.
