Popular third-party text editor Notepad++ finally has come to macOS after 23 years after it was released on Windows. The interface will be the same on macOS as well, like split view editing and tabs. Previously, you needed compatibility tools like Wine or Crossover to run this application on macOS, but now you can run it easily with the official release without the need of compatibility tools.
Notepad++ was created in 2003 by Don Ho as a free, open-source code editor and a quick, focused tool for writing and editing, and it has achieved a significant amount of that. Now, native Notepad is actually a minimal tool but too limited and basic for most users, Notepad++ will bring a new set of audience to Notepad++ through the macOS official release.
And you can download the notepad++ application from their website.
